BoothLedger Alternative for Operators Without a Windows PC

BoothLedger is an Irish product, linked to Photobooth Guys Ireland, and its pricing is the most aggressive in this comparison: Basic at 12 € a month, AI Photobooth at 35 € a month, billed monthly or annually with up to 15 per cent off, and every plan includes two device licences plus a 14 day free trial (checked on their pricing page on 28 August 2026).

The catch is the platform: BoothLedger runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64 bit, and nothing else. Snap360App costs more per month and removes the laptop entirely.

Start the free trial: every feature unlocked, watermark on the videos until you subscribe, no card required.

12 € a Month Is Genuinely Cheap

BoothLedger is cheap, and there is no point pretending otherwise. Twelve euros a month is less than half what we charge, it includes two device licences rather than one, and the 14 day trial is a proper trial with a clear end date rather than a watermark negotiation.

If you already own a Windows laptop that lives in the booth, if you shoot DSLR on it, and if what you sell is prints and strips, BoothLedger at 12 € is very hard to argue with on price and you should try it. The rest of this page is about the situations where the 12 € stops being the relevant number.

Coming Soon Does Not Run a Booth

BoothLedger lists macOS and Linux as coming soon. They have been listed that way for a while, and there is no iOS or Android app at all.

Buy on what ships, never on a roadmap. Right now the supported list is Windows 10 and 11 in 64 bit, full stop. If your booth runs on a tablet, or you were planning to buy one, this product cannot run it today and no timeline has been published that you could plan a season around. A small team choosing its battles is reasonable; it is simply the fact you have to buy on.

Snap360App vs BoothLedger, Side by Side

The BoothLedger column comes from their own pricing page, checked on 28 August 2026, and where they do not publish a capability the table says so rather than assuming the answer. Snap360App is 24,99 €/month or 239,99 €/year (19,99 €/month) on PLAN PRO, and 36,99 €/month or 359,99 €/year on DIAMOND PRO, which adds simultaneous TV output, more AI frame credits, multiple devices and 15 GB of cloud.

What a Laptop Adds to a 360 Booth

On a print booth a PC earns its place: it drives the DSLR, it drives the printer, and it sits inside a shell that never moves during the event. On a spinner it is a passenger.

A 360 platform captures with a phone or a GoPro on the arm. Adding a Windows machine to that adds a power brick, a second table, a cable run across a dance floor, a Windows update that decides to install at 21:00, and one more box to carry to a first floor venue with no lift. Every one of those is a small risk, and a Saturday night is where small risks find each other. A tablet on the pole does the same job with one device.

  • One device instead of laptop plus tablet plus cabling.
  • No mains socket hunt, a tablet runs the whole booking on battery and a power bank.
  • Setup in minutes, which matters when the venue gives you a 30 minute window.
  • Offline recording, so a dead venue wifi does not stop the event.

The AI Plan and the Real Monthly Number

BoothLedger splits AI into its own tier: Basic is 12 €, and the AI Photobooth plan is 35 € a month. So the comparison depends entirely on whether you sell AI portraits.

If you do not, 12 € against our 24,99 € is a clear win for them on price. If you do, their AI plan at 35 € a month sits above Snap360App PLAN PRO at 24,99 € a month, and above 19,99 € a month if you pay yearly, and AI generated frames are included in ours rather than being the reason to change tier. Do that sum with your own event mix before deciding, because it goes both ways depending on what you actually sell.

Choose BoothLedger If

Every BoothLedger figure above comes from their own pricing page, so check them there.

Choose BoothLedger if you run a Windows print booth, you want two licences for 12 € a month, and 360 is not part of your offer. That is a good deal. Choose Snap360App if your machine is a 360 spinner, if you want to work from a tablet on iOS or Android, if you need GoPro capture or offline recording, or if you would rather not build a business on a platform list where the operating system you want is still marked coming soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does BoothLedger Cost?

Basic is 12 € a month and AI Photobooth is 35 € a month, billed monthly or annually with up to 15 per cent off the annual option, and every plan includes two device licences (checked on their pricing page on 28 August 2026). There is a 14 day free trial, with the AI features available only on the AI plan.

Does BoothLedger Run on Mac or iPad?

Not today. It runs on Windows 10 and 11 in 64 bit. macOS and Linux are listed as coming soon and there is no iOS or Android app. Buy on what ships: if your booth is built around a tablet, this product cannot run it right now, whatever the roadmap says.

Does BoothLedger Support 360 Booths?

They do not publish 360 support, and this page does not state it either way on their behalf. If you run a spinner, ask them directly before buying. Snap360App is built around the 360 format, including high frame rate capture, adjustable slow motion and vertical delivery, on both iOS and Android.

Is 12 € a Month Better Value Than 24,99 €?

On a Windows print booth with no AI and no 360, yes, and two licences for that price is a good deal. On a 360 spinner the 12 € plan does not do the job, and their AI plan at 35 € a month costs more than Snap360App PLAN PRO at 24,99 €, or 19,99 € billed yearly. Run the sum on the events you actually sell.

Can I Run a 360 Booth Without a Laptop?

Yes, and most operators now do. The whole workflow (capture, slow motion, overlays, music and sharing) runs on the tablet or phone mounted on the pole. That removes the power brick, the extra table, the cable run and the Windows update that starts installing at nine in the evening.

Can I Try Both Before Deciding?

Yes, and you should. BoothLedger gives you 14 days. Snap360App unlocks every feature for free with a watermark on the videos until you subscribe, no card required. Run one real booking on each, with your own machine and your own overlays, and let the Saturday decide it.

Which Is the Cheaper 360 Video Booth Software Over a Year?

BoothLedger does not publish 360 support, so the comparison is between its Windows print booth plans (12 € or 35 € a month) and Snap360App at 239,99 € a year, 19,99 € a month, with the 360 mode, GoPro capture and offline recording included. On a print booth alone, 12 € a month for two licences is the cheaper number.
