Luminash Alternative: Monthly on a Tablet, Not Yearly on a PC

Luminash is Indonesian self service booth software with a landing page for Malaysia too, and it is one of the more serious products in the region. Standard is Rp 5,100,000 a year, on promotion at Rp 4,600,000, Plus is Rp 7,200,000 a year at Rp 6,600,000 on promotion, and Ultimate is Rp 8,400,000 a year at Rp 7,500,000, all billed annually (their site checked on 28 August 2026). It runs on Windows 10 and 11, 64 bit, with automatic QRIS payments through Midtrans and DOKU.

It states plainly that it does not do 360: it is Canon or webcam cabin software. If your product is a spinner, that is the end of the evaluation, and Snap360App is where you look next.

Paying a Year Up Front Changes the Risk

Luminash bills annually. Even at the promotional Standard price of Rp 4,600,000, roughly 260 € at late August 2026 rates and about Rp 383,333 a month, you are committing before your first event, and Ultimate at Rp 7,500,000 is a real capital decision for a new operator.

Annual billing is normal for shop software, where the booth generates walk-in revenue every day and the payback is predictable. Event work is lumpy: a strong wedding season, a dead January. Paying monthly for the app means the cost follows the calendar, and a bad quarter does not sit on your books as a prepaid licence you already burned.

  • Standard: Rp 5,100,000 a year, promotional Rp 4,600,000, about Rp 383,333 a month.
  • Plus: Rp 7,200,000 a year, promotional Rp 6,600,000, about Rp 550,000 a month.
  • Ultimate: Rp 8,400,000 a year, promotional Rp 7,500,000, about Rp 625,000 a month.

Luminash vs Snap360App, Side by Side

Figures for Luminash come from their own site on 28 August 2026 and are billed annually. Snap360App is 24,99 € a month on PLAN PRO, or 239,99 € a year, which is 19,99 € a month, and 36,99 € a month or 359,99 € a year on DIAMOND PRO with simultaneous TV output, more AI frame credits, multiple devices and 15 GB of cloud storage. Events are unlimited on every plan, with no per event and no per device charge on PRO. Machines, media and rental prices for the sector are in the photo booth price index 2026.

The dslrBooth Bridge Is Their Cleverest Product

Luminash sell a payment app that bolts onto an existing dslrBooth installation, on top of their own Luminash Super suite. That is a genuinely smart wedge: an operator who already runs dslrBooth does not have to migrate anything, they just add automatic QRIS collection to a booth that already works.

Credit where it is due, that is better product thinking than most of the category shows. It also tells you exactly what Luminash is selling. The value is in collecting money from strangers at a booth without a human at the counter, not in what the camera does. On a 360 spinner nobody pays at the machine, so the wedge has nothing to bite on.

QRIS and DuitNow Decide the Software in Indonesia and Malaysia

Luminash integrate Midtrans and DOKU for QRIS in Indonesia and HitPay DuitNow QR for Malaysia, with automatic verification so nobody has to check payments by hand. Add vouchers, promo codes, extra print, live analytics and multi booth monitoring from a single account, and you have a complete shop operating system.

This is the pattern across the whole region. We inventoried 30 photo booth software makers in Asia in August 2026 and the competition is fought on payment rails and cabin economics, not on video. None of the 30 is 360 first. The Asian products are good at the business they chose, and event 360 is a different business with no local supplier.

A PC in a Cabin Versus a Tablet in a Bag

Luminash needs Windows 10 or 11 64 bit with an i3 or better, 8 to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD. Inside a fixed cabin that is fine and arguably ideal: a stable machine, a Canon body, a printer alongside, everything bolted down.

For a spinner that goes out every Friday it is dead weight. Snap360App runs the full 360 workflow from a phone or a tablet on iOS 13 or later and Android 7 or later, records offline, supports GoPro, generates AI frames, adds music, intros and outros, and delivers by QR, AirDrop, WhatsApp, Instagram or email. Nothing to boot, nothing to trip over, one bag less in the van.

Live Photo and Multi Camera Are Not 360

Luminash include Live Photo, a short automatic video captured during the shot, plus Multi Camera. Both are nice features and both improve a cabin. Neither is a spinner workflow.

360 needs the arm speed and the capture to be in sync, slow motion ramping that starts and ends where you want, boomerang, vertical framing for social, and a share flow that gets the clip onto a guest phone in seconds while they are still standing there. That is what being built around the spinner means, and it is why the app you use for a cabin rarely becomes the app you use for 360.

Who Should Stay With Luminash

Stay if you run self service booths in Indonesia or Malaysia and your revenue comes from walk-ins paying by QRIS. Their automatic payment verification, voucher system, extra print flow and multi booth analytics are exactly the tooling that business needs, and the dslrBooth bridge lets you keep the setup you already trust. By their own published numbers they work with 120 plus photobooth partners.

Look elsewhere if you run 360 spinners at events, if you want to work from a tablet, or if you would rather pay monthly than a year in advance. Free to test, watermark on the videos until you subscribe, no card needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does Luminash Cost?

Standard is Rp 5,100,000 a year, on promotion at Rp 4,600,000, Plus is Rp 7,200,000 a year at Rp 6,600,000 promotional and Ultimate is Rp 8,400,000 a year at Rp 7,500,000, all billed annually and checked on their own site on 28 August 2026. That works out at roughly Rp 383,333 to Rp 625,000 a month, paid up front for the year.

Does Luminash Support 360 Photo Booths?

No. They describe the product as self service cabin software using a Canon camera or a webcam, and there is no spinner control, no slow motion and no vertical video workflow. Live Photo captures a short clip during the shot, which is a nice cabin feature but not a 360 workflow. For spinner work you need an app built around it.

Does Luminash Run on a Tablet?

No. It requires Windows 10 or 11 64 bit with an i3 processor or better, 8 to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD, so every booth needs a PC. Snap360App runs the whole 360 flow on iOS 13 or later and Android 7 or later, which is the difference between packing a tablet and packing a laptop with its power supply.

Is There a Free Trial of Luminash?

Their site does not advertise one. What they offer instead is a technical consultation before you buy, which for annual billing is a reasonable substitute but not the same thing. Snap360App gives you every feature free with a watermark on the videos until you subscribe, and no card to start, so you can test it on a real event first.

Can I Use Both, Luminash for the Cabin and Snap360App for the Spinner?

Yes, and plenty of operators run exactly that split. Cabin software handles walk-in payments, prints and shop analytics, while the spinner app handles video, offline recording and instant sharing at events. They bill separately, so each one only costs you while that side of the business is actually running.

Which Is Better for a 360 Booth?

For 360 the answer is Snap360App. It is spinner first, runs on Android and iOS, records offline, supports GoPro and costs 24,99 € a month with unlimited events and no per device fee on PLAN PRO. For a QRIS cabin business in Indonesia or Malaysia, Luminash is the better tool.

Annual Licence, Monthly Subscription or Lifetime Licence: Which Is Cheaper for Booth Software?

It depends on how steady your income is. A lifetime licence is cheapest after two or three years if the vendor keeps updating it. An annual licence like Luminash, Rp 4,600,000 to Rp 7,500,000 paid up front, suits a shop that earns every day. A monthly subscription like Snap360App at 24,99 € follows the event calendar, so a dead January costs one month and a busy August costs the same month. For a new event operator the monthly is the lowest risk of the three.

Is There 360 Photo Booth Software for Android?

Yes. Snap360App runs its 360 module on Android 7 or later and iOS 13 or later, so a mid range Android tablet mounted on the arm drives the whole spinner. Luminash needs a Windows 10 or 11 PC with an i3, 8 to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD, and has no Android or iPad version.
