Photo Party Upload Alternative Without Per Share Fees

Photo Party Upload, from LA Photo Party in Los Angeles, is one of the few platforms that still bills by the share: $0.10 for every shared send, printing free, or $30 per event day, $300 a month, or $2,500 a year if you would rather pay a flat rate. Their Windows product, Photo Booth Upload, is $49 weekly, $299 annually or $799 for a lifetime licence, and the VR360 module is a separate $750 one off (all figures checked on their own pricing page on 28 August 2026).

It is a real platform with real corporate clients. It is also a pricing model that makes your best night your most expensive one. Snap360App is 24,99 € a month, unlimited events, nothing metered.

Doing the Maths on $0.10 per Share

Ten cents sounds like nothing until you run the number against a real Saturday. A busy 360 booth at a 150 guest wedding produces a lot of sends, because people share the same clip twice: once to themselves, once to the group chat.

The uncomfortable part is that you cannot quote it in advance. A client asks what the evening costs and part of your cost base depends on how enthusiastic their guests turn out to be. You can cap it with the $30 event day rate, but then you are choosing a plan per booking and doing admin instead of events.

  • Per share: $0.10 per shared send, with printing free and 10 free sends before billing starts.
  • Per event day: $30, which is the sane option once a booking gets busy.
  • Flat: $300 a month or $2,500 a year.
  • Snap360App: 24,99 € a month or 239,99 € a year, unlimited events, no per share and no per device fee.

Every Extra Is Its Own Line Item

The base price is not the price. Their published add-ons include $10 to remove their branding, $10 to put a logo on it, $12 for background removal and $15 for statistics.

Read that first one again. Removing the vendor name from a screen your paying client is standing in front of is a paid extra, and adding your client logo is another one. Those are the minimum a corporate booking expects. Stack them onto an event and the cheap plan is not the cheap plan any more, and you are the one explaining a variable invoice.

Snap360App vs Photo Party Upload, Side by Side

Every figure in the right hand column is theirs, taken from their published pricing page and checked on 28 August 2026. Snap360App is 24,99 €/month or 239,99 €/year (19,99 €/month) on PLAN PRO, and 36,99 €/month or 359,99 €/year on DIAMOND PRO, which adds simultaneous TV output, more AI frame credits, multiple devices and 15 GB of cloud.

The 360 Is a $750 Module, Bought Separately

This is the one that decides it for most spinner operators. Photo Party Upload does 360 through a VR360 module priced at $750 as a one off payment, on top of whatever plan you are on. The base app does not include it.

So the entry ticket for a 360 booth on their stack is $750 before your first event, plus per share or per event billing after that. Snap360App is 360 first: the app was built around the spinner, the slow motion ramp and the vertical export, and it costs 24,99 € a month with nothing gated behind a module purchase. At 239,99 € for a full year, three years of Snap360App costs less than that one module plus a year of their $300 plan.

Two Products and Two Price Lists

Worth knowing before you compare anything: LA Photo Party sells two different things. Photo Party Upload is the iPad and iPhone app with the per share pricing. Photo Booth Upload is the Windows product, at $49 weekly, $299 annually or $799 lifetime.

They solve different problems and they bill on different logics, so make sure a quote you receive is for the one you actually intend to run. The $799 lifetime licence on the Windows side is genuinely interesting for a fixed installation that never moves, which is a use case a monthly tablet app is not trying to win.

Where Photo Party Upload Wins

Credit where it is due, and there is a fair amount of it. If you run occasional small events, ten free sends and $0.10 after that is cheaper than any monthly subscription, and you should take it. If you want experiences beyond a booth, their Mosaic Muse wall and their premium activations are a genuine product line. They also build their own machines, from the Roamer at $899 up to the Infinite at $8,249, so hardware and software can come from one supplier. And their market is corporate Los Angeles, which is a demanding room to survive in.

One number to keep in perspective: their iOS app sits at 2.83 from 6 ratings on the US App Store. Six ratings is barely a sample. Do not switch on the strength of it, but do read those reviews before you commit.

What We Would Do

Everything in the competitor column above comes from their published pricing, and we would rather you check it yourself than take our word for it.

Our reading: if you do fewer than four events a month and none of them are big, their pay per share model will beat a subscription and you should stay. If you run a 360 booth as a business, with wedding season Saturdays back to back, a flat 24,99 € with unlimited events and no branding fee removes a variable cost, removes the $750 module and removes the conversation where you explain to yourself why a great night cost more than a quiet one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does Photo Party Upload Cost?

Their published pricing on 28 August 2026 is $0.10 per shared send with printing free, or $30 per event day, or $300 a month, or $2,500 a year. Photo Booth Upload, the Windows product, is $49 weekly, $299 annually or $799 lifetime. Extras are billed separately, including $10 to remove their branding.

Does Photo Party Upload Do 360 Video?

Through a separate VR360 module priced at $750 as a one off payment, not in the base app. If 360 is your main product, that is $750 before your first booking, on top of your plan. Snap360App includes 360 in the 24,99 € monthly plan because the app was built around the spinner.

Is Pay per Share Cheaper Than a Subscription?

For small, occasional events, yes. Ten free sends and ten cents after that beats any monthly fee if you work three or four quiet bookings a year. For a working operator with a full wedding season, it turns your busiest Saturday into your most expensive one and makes quoting harder. Run your own numbers on last season.

Does It Run on Android?

No. Photo Party Upload is iPadOS and iOS, and the Windows product is Photo Booth Upload. There is no Android app (checked on 28 August 2026). Snap360App runs on Android 7 or later as well as iOS 13 or later, which is what lets you put a cheaper tablet on the pole.

What Does the 2.83 App Store Rating Mean?

Less than it looks. It comes from 6 ratings on the US App Store, which is far too small a sample to draw a conclusion from, in either direction. Read the individual reviews rather than the average, and weigh them against the fact that the company has been serving corporate clients in Los Angeles for years.

Can I Move to Snap360App Mid Season?

Yes, and mid season is the honest test. Start the free trial at snap360app.com, rebuild your overlays in an afternoon, and run one booking on each app. Nothing is locked to a device or an event count, so if it does not suit you, you have lost an afternoon rather than a $750 module.

What Does Photo Booth Software for Events in the USA Cost per Month?

On the published pages checked on 28 August 2026, Photo Party Upload is $300 a month flat or $0.10 per share, its Windows sibling Photo Booth Upload is $299 a year, and Snap360App is 24,99 € a month, $31.99 through Stripe, with unlimited events. The 360 module is the big difference: $750 extra on Photo Party Upload, included in Snap360App.
