Pictor Alternative for 360 Booth Operators

Pictor is one of the few photo booth platforms with genuine iOS and Android parity, and its pricing is public: Basic $49 a month, Pro $99 and Premium $149, billed annually with two months free, which they present as a 17% saving against monthly. AI runs on tokens on top, from $20 per 100 tokens ($0.20 each) down to $0.07 a token at volume, with 2,000 tokens for $200 as their popular pack. All checked on their own pricing page on 28 August 2026.

Both apps run on Android, so the platform line settles nothing here. The comparison comes down to two things: what the AI costs each month, and whether the app is built for a spinner.

Both Run on Android, So the Question Moves

Most comparisons in this sector end at the platform line, because most competitors are iPad only. Pictor publishes real parity between iOS and Android, plus a free print app for Mac and PC that drives DNP printers.

That means the hardware argument is off the table and you have to look at the things people usually skip. What does a month actually cost once the AI is switched on. Is there a 360 mode. And can you tell how many operators are running it.

The Token Bill Sitting on Top of the Subscription

This is the part that changes the monthly number. On Pictor, AI is never inside the plan price: tokens are bought separately, starting at $20 for 100 tokens, which is $0.20 a token, and falling to $0.07 a token at volume. Their popular pack is 2,000 tokens for $200.

Run the sum for a real weekend. A busy Saturday where guests generate a few hundred AI images is a line item on the invoice, and one you cannot quote to a client in advance because you do not know how many people will press the button. Snap360App includes AI generated frames in the plan, with more credits on DIAMOND PRO, so the invoice for August is the same as the one for February.

  • Pictor Basic $49/month, Pro $99, Premium $149, billed annually with 2 months free.
  • AI tokens from $0.20 each, down to $0.07 at volume, 2,000 for $200.
  • Snap360App: 24,99 €/month or 239,99 €/year, AI frames included, unlimited events.

Snap360App vs Pictor, Side by Side

Prices checked on their own pricing page on 28 August 2026. Snap360App is 24,99 €/month or 239,99 €/year (19,99 €/month) on PLAN PRO, and 36,99 €/month or 359,99 €/year on DIAMOND PRO, which adds simultaneous TV output, more AI frame credits, multiple devices and 15 GB of cloud. The same PRO plan costs 29,99 € through the App Store, so buy from the web.

Charging the Guest: A Feature Worth Copying

Pictor has one idea worth copying: a configurable paywall that lets you charge the guest directly, plus a virtual booth that runs in the guest phone browser with no download. For a nightclub, a festival or a permanent installation in a shopping centre, that turns a booth into a machine that collects money without an operator standing next to it.

If that is your model, and you are running unattended or semi attended installations rather than weekend events, look hard at Pictor. Webhooks and analytics point in the same direction: it is built for someone plugging a booth into a wider system.

No Store Listing, No Public Signal

A check you can run yourself in two minutes: search the App Store and Google Play for the name. As of 28 August 2026 we could not verify a Pictor listing on either store, which means there is no public rating, no review count and no download signal to look at.

The app may simply be distributed another way, outside the stores. It does mean you have no independent evidence of how many operators are actually running it or how it behaves in the field, so weight your own trial much more heavily than usual. Build a full event, run it on the tablet you own, and treat the result as the only data point that exists.

The 360 Question

Pictor does not publish a 360 spinner mode. For a general photo booth platform that is a reasonable choice, but 360 is the format clients are asking for by name, and a spinner needs software that treats slow motion, ramping and vertical delivery as the product rather than an afterthought.

Snap360App was built from the spinner outwards. Unlimited events on every plan, no per event fee, offline recording, GoPro support, AI generated frames, overlays, music, intros and outros, and delivery by QR, AirDrop, WhatsApp, Instagram or email with a web dashboard behind it. If you want to see it working before spending anything, it is at snap360app.com.

Stay With Pictor If This Sounds Like You

If your business is classic photo booths with printing, if you want a guest facing paywall, if the virtual browser booth solves a real problem for you, or if you need webhooks feeding your own stack, Pictor covers ground we do not. The free Mac and PC print app with DNP support is a genuinely useful piece of kit.

Come to us if the spinner is the product, if you want the AI cost inside the plan instead of on a token meter, or if you want a lower flat monthly with nothing metered behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does Pictor Cost?

Checked on their own pricing page on 28 August 2026: Basic $49 a month, Pro $99 and Premium $149, billed annually with two months free, which they present as a 17% saving against paying monthly. AI is separate and runs on tokens, from $20 per 100 down to $0.07 a token at volume.

What Are Pictor AI Tokens and Do I Need Them?

Tokens are the credit system for the AI features, bought on top of the subscription. They start at $0.20 each in a 100 token pack and fall to $0.07 at volume, with 2,000 tokens for $200 as their popular option. You need them if you plan to sell AI images, which makes your monthly cost depend on guest behaviour.

Does Pictor Have a 360 Mode?

They do not publish one. Pictor is positioned as a multiplatform photo booth product with a virtual booth and print support, and as of 28 August 2026 there is no 360 spinner mode in their published feature set. For a spinning platform you would need software built for it.

Does Snap360App Run on Android?

Yes, Android 7 or later and iOS 13 or later for the video module. The photo module is on iPad in beta with Windows in development, so do not plan a print workflow around Windows yet. On this particular comparison both apps cover Android, which is not the case with most competitors.

Can I Switch Without Losing My Templates?

Overlays and templates do not move between apps, so you rebuild them in the new one. Export your current designs as image files first, then rebuild in a quiet week rather than the morning of an event. For a typical operator it is an afternoon of work, and the AI frame generator does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Which Is Better for a 360 Booth?

For a spinner, Snap360App. It is 360-first, includes the AI in the plan, records offline, supports GoPro and costs 24,99 € a month with unlimited events. It is at https://snap360app.com/ with a free trial. Pictor makes more sense for print booths, virtual booths and guest paywalls.

Is Pictor a Virtual Photo Booth Software?

Partly, yes. Pictor publishes a virtual booth that runs in the guest phone browser with no download, alongside the physical booth app on iOS and Android. Snap360App is built for a physical 360 platform with a phone, tablet or GoPro on the arm, so the two products only overlap on the physical side.

Which Photo Booth Software Has Digital Add-Ons Included in the Plan?

On Pictor the digital extras (AI images, paywall, virtual booth, webhooks) sit on tiers and on a token meter, so the monthly cost depends on how many guests press the AI button. On Snap360App the AI generated frames, overlays, music, intros and outros and multi channel delivery are inside PLAN PRO at 24,99 € a month, with more AI frame credits on DIAMOND PRO.
