PSPhotoBox Alternative When the Booth Is a Spinner

PSPhotoBox is Austrian Windows photo booth software with a licensing model that deserves more attention than it gets: a Single User licence for 14 days at 59,00 €, a Single User Pro perpetual licence with unlimited use at 189,00 €, and a Corporate licence at 189,00 € per installation with tiered pricing that falls as low as 99,00 € per install on volume. Checked on their software page on 28 August 2026. There is a download section, although the trial conditions are not published.

Green screen, templates, professional printing and German documentation, all for a one off payment. If you run print booths in Austria or southern Germany, that is a well shaped offer. If the machine you bought spins, it is the wrong shape entirely. Snap360App is the alternative.

Three Licences and What Each One Is Really For

Most vendors sell you one thing at three prices. PSPhotoBox sells three genuinely different products, and knowing which one you are being quoted matters.

  • Single User, 14 days, 59,00 €. A licence for one event or one short run of events, and the cheapest legitimate way to try the software on a real booking.
  • Single User Pro, 189,00 €. Perpetual, unlimited use, one installation. This is the working operator licence.
  • Corporate, 189,00 € per installation. Tiered so the per unit price drops with quantity, down to 99,00 €. This is the fleet licence.

The 14 Day Event Licence, Costed Out Properly

A 59,00 € licence for a fortnight sounds like a bargain until you count weekends. One event: 59,00 €, and nothing else to pay, which beats almost everything in this comparison. Four events spread across a season: four licences, 236,00 €, and you have now spent more than the 189,00 € perpetual and still own nothing.

The break even is essentially three purchases. Anyone working more than three separate fortnights a year should be buying the perpetual, and the 14 day licence should be read as what it is, a very good trial that happens to be legal to use commercially. Snap360App sits in a different place again: 24,99 € a month, cancel between seasons, and the same price whether that month holds one event or sixteen.

What a Fleet Actually Costs Under a Perpetual Licence

This is where the two models separate hardest. PSPhotoBox Corporate is priced per installation, from 189,00 € down to 99,00 € with volume. Five booths therefore cost between 495,00 € and 945,00 €, once, and then nothing forever.

Five Snap360App subscriptions at 19,99 € a month billed yearly cost 1.199,40 € a year, every year. On pure software spend across five years PSPhotoBox wins by a wide margin, and the gap is not close. What the perpetual licence does not include is the five Windows machines, their replacement cycle, and the updates that a one off payment does not fund forever. If your fleet is five print booths that live in shells, buy the perpetual. If it is five tablets on five spinners, the perpetual licence cannot run on them at all.

Snap360App vs PSPhotoBox, Side by Side

PSPhotoBox prices checked on their software page on 28 August 2026. Snap360App is 24,99 € a month or 239,99 € a year, which is 19,99 € a month, on PLAN PRO, and 36,99 € a month or 359,99 € a year on DIAMOND PRO, with unlimited events on every plan.On raw software price over five years, PSPhotoBox is cheaper. The table is about what each one runs on and what it produces.

Green Screen and Print vs Spinner and Phone

PSPhotoBox is built around a green screen, a template, a printer and a strip in a guest hand. That is a format with decades behind it and it still sells, particularly at corporate events and in markets where people expect something physical to take home.

A 360 booth produces nothing physical. The output is a vertical video that lives on Instagram within the hour, and the software has to handle slow motion, reverse, speed ramping, music, an intro and an outro, and delivery to a phone in seconds. PSPhotoBox does not publish a 360 mode or AI features, so this is not a case of one app doing the other job worse. They are two different machines.

Support in German, Which Is a Real Feature

PSPhotoBox publishes its manual and FAQ in German and works its home market of Austria and southern Germany. If you operate there and your questions arrive in German at 21:00 on a Friday, that is worth something no feature table captures.

The flip side is reach: the site is German with basic English, and there is limited presence beyond that region. If you work across several European markets, or your clients are international, weigh that against the price.

Stay With PSPhotoBox If This Is You

Stay if you run Windows print booths, if green screen and professional printing are the product, if you would rather pay once than monthly, if you have a fleet where the Corporate tiering brings the per install price toward 99,00 €, and if German language documentation matters to you. It is a solid, sensibly priced product for that job.

Move if the booth spins. Try Snap360App free with a watermark on iOS or Android and look at the 360 output before you commit either way. Plenty of operators run both: the perpetual licence on the print booth, the monthly app on the spinner, paying the monthly only while the spinner earns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does PSPhotoBox Cost?

On their software page on 28 August 2026: a Single User licence for 14 days at 59,00 €, a Single User Pro perpetual licence with unlimited use at 189,00 €, and a Corporate licence at 189,00 € per installation with tiered pricing that falls as low as 99,00 € per install on volume.

Is the 14 Day Licence Worth It?

For one event, yes, it is the cheapest legitimate way in at 59,00 €. Past three purchases you have spent more than the 189,00 € perpetual and you still own nothing, so anyone working more than three separate fortnights a year should buy the perpetual instead.

Does PSPhotoBox Work With a 360 Photo Booth?

Not published. PSPhotoBox is presented as photo booth software with green screen, templates and professional printing, and no 360 spinner mode appears in their material, checked on 28 August 2026. Ask them directly if 360 is your format, or use software built around the spinner.

Which Is Cheaper Over Five Years?

PSPhotoBox, on the software line, and clearly so. A 189,00 € perpetual licence against 19,99 € a month billed yearly is not a close race across five years. What that comparison leaves out is the Windows machine each installation needs, and the fact that a perpetual desktop licence cannot run on the tablet on a spinner arm.

Can I Run PSPhotoBox on an iPad?

No. It is Windows software with no iOS or Android version, checked on 28 August 2026. If you want to drive a booth from a tablet or a phone, Snap360App covers iOS 13 or later and Android 7 or later, which also lets you use a cheap Android tablet instead of an iPad.

Can I Use Both in the Same Business?

Yes, and it is usually the right answer. Keep the perpetual licence on the Windows print booth, where it costs you nothing more, and run a monthly app on the 360 machine. You only carry the subscription while the spinner is out working, and each format gets software designed for it.

Is There Fotobox Software for iPad Instead of Windows?

PSPhotoBox is Windows only, so for fotobox software auf dem iPad you need a different product. Snap360App is a fotobox app that runs on iOS 13 or later and Android 7 or later, records offline and delivers by QR, at 24,99 € a month with unlimited events. The Windows machine, its power supply and its driver evening all leave the van with it.

Which Software für Fotobox Works Best in Austria and Germany?

For a print booth with green screen, PSPhotoBox has the German manual, the German FAQ and the home market support, at 189,00 € perpetual. For a spinner in the same fleet, the software has to run on the tablet on the arm, which no Windows licence does. Running one of each per format is the normal answer in that market.
